We've won Pub of the Year!

Over the moon and utterly raising a glass or 6 to the news that we have been voted ‘Gloucestershire Pub of the Year 2019’ in the National Pub and Bar Awards.

It follows hot on the heels of an award from The Good Pub Guide, which awarded the pub Gloucestershire Dining Pub of the Year 2019 which sees the pub win a county title twice in two different awards schemes!

Tristan O’Hara, from the National Pub & Bar Awards commented; “The Ebrington Arms is just one of those beautiful, quintessential Costwolds pubs that continues to raise the bar. The investment in the team, as well as in the property itself, is testament to the passionate operation going on at this pub. The events schedule is enticing, and the menus are intricately thought through. A worthy winner.”

It’s been an incredibly crazy time for us. Last month The Soil Association accredited us and our other pub, The Killingworth Castle, THREE stars in their ‘Organic Served Here’ awards scheme. This means that both pubs have committed to sourcing 50-75% organic ingredients on our menus. Our pubs now join only 10 other pubs and restaurants throughout the whole of the UK to achieve 3 stars or above in the scheme.

The Pub of the Year gong is the icing on the cake. We have the best team and look forward to celebrating next month when we receive our latest award from Jay Rayner!
