Originally built in the 1600s, Claire and Jim are the latest in a long line of owners of this beautiful, historic pub
Although keen to grow the business and greatly expand its reach, both Jim and Claire’s priority was to retain the pub’s role in the community while sourcing the bulk of their produce from local suppliers – or more accurately, the pub’s locals.
A baptism by fire would be a huge understatement for the task they undertook, but they’ve since fully renovated the pub and its three luxurious B&B rooms and have greatly increased the capacity of the restaurant – not to mention picking up a clutch of awards (including CAMRA North Cotswold pub of the year three years running in 2009, 2010 and 2011) and a bouncing baby boy along the way.
Jim and Claire love to hear you comments. Please feel free to give them a call or drop them a line.
